I only collect information you choose to give me, including:

• Your first name
• Your email address when you join the Phoenix Order, contact me, or request updates
• Your mobile number only when you specifically choose to receive text messages
• Information you send through the contact form, including your name, email, inquiry type, subject, and message
• Which page or campaign your signup came from
• The date and time you gave consent and the version of the consent language you agreed to
• Whether you chose email, text messages, or both
• Basic anonymous or aggregate site-usage information if analytics is enabled

I do not currently collect payment information through this website.

Pretty simple.

I use your information to send you the things you actually asked for: Phoenix Order updates, sneak peeks, first looks, new-book news, launch information, merch drops, special promotions, and book discounts.

I may also use it to respond when you contact me, understand which parts of the site people actually use, and maintain records showing when and how communication consent was given.

I'm not collecting information just because I fucking can.

Email and SMS consent are separate.

Giving me your phone number does not automatically sign you up for text messages. You only receive texts if you specifically choose SMS and provide the required consent.

The same principle applies to email.

You get the communication you asked for. Period.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for help.

Marketing emails will include a way to unsubscribe.

I don't like my personal information being sold, rented, traded, passed around, packaged up, or treated like somebody else's revenue stream.

Your personal information is not a community doobie for every advertiser, data broker, and random company on the internet to take a toke off.

I'm not doing that shit to you.

Serena Phoenix LLC does not sell or rent your personal information. I do not hand it to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated companies so they can market their crap to you.

Some trusted service providers may need limited access to information to actually run the website and deliver what you requested — things like website hosting, database services, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, and eventually order fulfillment.

They only need access to the information reasonably necessary to perform those services.

That is very different from selling your data.

Information may also be disclosed if legally required.

Your information is here because you trusted me with it. I intend to treat it that way.

Signup and consent records may be kept while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward so I can document consent and make sure an unsubscribe request stays unsubscribed.

Contact messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain necessary business records, or deal with an ongoing matter.

No storage or transmission system is perfectly secure, but reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information maintained through this site.

Basic, anonymous visit measurement runs on this site so I can see which pages people read and which links they use. A random session number is stored in your browser for the length of your visit, along with the page you landed on, the website or link that sent you here, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer.

No cookies are used for this, no advertising profiles are built, no device fingerprinting takes place, and IP addresses are not stored. Clearing your browser storage removes the session number.

You can contact me to request:

• Deletion of your personal information
• Unsubscription from marketing communications

This website is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If I learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected through the site, I will take reasonable steps to delete it.

This site does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking.

If analytics is enabled, I use a privacy-conscious, cookieless approach designed to measure things like page views and site events without building advertising profiles around individual visitors.

If that changes and the site begins using nonessential cookies or tracking that requires consent, the site will be updated accordingly.

Sometimes this site will send you somewhere else — a retailer, social platform, payment provider, print-on-demand company, or another third-party website.

Once you leave this site, their privacy practices apply.

I don't control their websites, their policies, or whatever other bullshit they decided to bury in their fine print.

The Serena Phoenix business will grow, and this policy may need to grow with it.

If something meaningful changes, this page will be updated and the Last updated date at the top will change.
